All of these cases were treated in hospital, two of them
being admitted to the Barking Hospital. All the
cases recovered satisfactorily. It will be remembered
that during 1938 there was a marked incidence of
acute anterior poliomyelitis in districts close to Barking,
notably the Braintree and the Waltham Abbey areas.
(2) NOTIFICATION TABLES.
