The following table gives the actual causes of death of children dying under one
year of age.

(h) Neo-natal Mortality during the year 1933.
From the preceding table it will be seen that 29 out of the 67 infant deaths were
of children under the age of four weeks—i.e., approximately 40 per cent, of those who
died were under the age of four weeks.
You will note the relatively large number of deaths which have been attributed
to premature birth.
