(a) Scarlet Fever.—The number of cases notified was 130,
compared with 60 the previous year. No fatal cases occurred.
115 cases were isolated at the local Infectious Hospital, and 6 at
the Ilford Isolation Hospital. The average stay of scarlet fever
cases in hospital was 34.4 days, compared with 40.6 days in 1925.
The longest period of detention was 66 days and the shortest 17
days.
Seventy-four cases treated in hospital developed complication', as follows:—

(b) Small Pox.—No case of Small Pox occurred in 1926,
Notifications of two persons who had been in contact with cases
of Small Pox were received and kept under supervision for the.
