The percentages successfully vaccinated for the last five years
are: 35.5, 46.6, 54.6, 59.6, 66.3.
Hospital.
The changes that have occurred in the buildings, etc., have
already been briefly touched upon. The number of cases remaining
at the end of 1912 was 26, and 153 were admitted during the
year; 114 were suffering from Scarlet Fever; 32 from Diphtheria;
4 from Enteric Fever; and 3 from Phthisis. The previous year
the total number of admissions was 125, or 28 less. The discrepancy
was mainly due to an increase of 25 cases of Scarlet Fever
during the current year. There were 6 deaths in the Institution,
1 from Scarlet Fever, 3 from Diphtheria, 1 from Membranous
Croup, and 1 from Enteric Fever.

The average duration of stay in Hospital for each disease was as follows :—
