On October 21st, 1911, the Education Committee took
over the provision of meals, which up to that date had been
provided by voluntary enterprise. The meals are supplied at
the Baths, where a kitchen has been installed. Simple dinners
are supplied consisting of bread and rice, and a stew,
made with meat, and potatoes. The average number of children
supplied per day was 220, and the cost per meal worked out
