In all 731 children were excluded from school for varying
periods.
Unfortunately there was no means of re-examining these
children when the period of exclusion expired to verify their
fitness to return. Some presented themselves at the Clinic,
but these only totalled a small percentage of the whole. A
closer supervision of all children excluded is desirable.
Treatment.
It is gratifying to note that the parents on being informed
that treatment was necessary, carried out the instructions in a
fairly satisfactory manner. The following table is compiled
from the returns made by the teachers:—
