To different forms of Violence, 5 deaths were referred, being in the proportion of 0'3 per
1,000 of the estimated population. The rate for England and Wales being 0'6 per 1,000.
In conclusion I would draw attention to the Sanitary Inspector's report
and especially to that item dealing with the testing of house drains. In 1895,
298 were tested as to their efficiency or otherwise. In 1896, 290, making a total
in the two years of 588.
