Tuberculosis
The Borough is served by two Chest Clinics, viz., Edgware Chest Clinic (attached
to Edgware General Hospital), Chest Physician - Dr. H.J. Trenchard, and Barnet Chest
Clinic (attached to Barnet General Hospital), Chest Physician - Dr. J.G. Hounslow. The
Department's Health Visitors and T.B. Visitors continued to carry out social visiting and
act as liaison between the patients and the Chest Physicians.
