Preliminary rounds were played during February and March, culminating in the
Final Contest on March 19th. The Question Master was Susan Stranks of I.T.V.'s
Magpie programme before a good audience. This event was relayed on Radio London's
Home Run programme and the Cup was presented by the Deputy Mayoress. Preparations
for the Senior Home Safety Quiz were commenced in the autumn term in readiness for the
contest next spring.
Displays and Exhibitions
Finchley Carnival and The Summer Show
The Health Education Section participated in the procession at the Carnival,
entering a float featuring Old Nick O' Teen and his slaves.
In the marquee displays and competitions were organised for both events.
