T uberculosis
The Borough is served by two chest clinics, viz. Edgware Chest Clinic (attached to
Edgware General Hospital) Chest Physician — Dr. H.J. Trenchard, and Barnet Chest Clinic
(attached to Barnet General Hospital) Chest Physician — Dr. J.G. Hounslow. The
Department's health visitors and T.B. visitors continued to carry out social visiting and
act as liaison between the patients and the Chest Physicians.
