51 Neighbourly helps were employed at the end of the year and were providing assistance
to 51 households.
Day Nurseries
During the year the three day nurseries remained adequately staffed, for although there
was a considerable turnover of staff, replacements were obtained without difficulty.

The 165 approved places were filled with children in the priority categories. In a few cases, where it was considered to be beneficial, the children of families at risk of homelessness were admitted for temporary periods, free of charge.
