MIDWIFERY SERVICE
Domiciliary Midwifery was performed as in previous years by
the Midwives of Queen Charlotte's Hospital. Only 16% of the total
births were home confinements.
The bulk of the hospital confinements were accepted at Central
Middlesex, Queen Charlotte's and Hammersmith Hospitals, the
table below gives the distribution: —
