FOOD COMPLAINTS
There were 36 complaints as to unsound food, etc, and in
three cases the Council instituted legal proceedings.
A firm of bakers pleaded guilty to selling a loaf containing a
cigarette end. A fine of £5 was imposed and three guineas costs
Were awarded to the Council.
A dairy firm pleaded guilty to selling partially baked rolls in
a mouldy condition. The firm was fined £20 and ten guineas costs
were awarded to the Council.
