The general improvement and condition of occupied houses
has been maintained by requirements of repairs and the compliance
by owners under Section 9 of the Housing Act, 1936. During the
year 145 Notices were passed to the Town Clerk for work to be
done in default of owners.
The following table indicates the extensive and varied nature of the defects and dilapidations which have been made good following inspection by the Sanitary Inspectors.
