NOTES
A statement as to the arrangements made by the Local Education
Authority for the examination and cleansing of infested pupils
should appear in the body of the School Medical Officer's Report.
All cases of infestation, however slight, should be recorded.
The return should relate to individual pupils and not to instances
of infestation.
(i) Total number of examinations in the schools by the
school nurses or other authorised persons 24,633
(ii) Total number of individual pupils found to be infested 632
(iii) Number of individual pupils in respect of whom cleansing
orders were issued (Section 54 (2), Educaton Act.
1944)
