Inspection of Factories.
There are 628 premises within the borough in connection with
which the Sanitary Inspectors make inspection from time to time
to ascertain that the provisions of the Factories Act, 1937, and the
Sanitary Accommodation Regulations are complied with.
In addition to this routine work, hygiene of canteens etc.,
has received attention, and advice as to the fitness of food for human
consumption given as necessary.

The following, table includes the tabular statement by the Chief
Sanitary Inspector under article 27 (18) of the Sanitary Officers
(Outside London) Regulations. 1935.
