Two children attending the Clinic for nasal examination were
impossible to examine or treat.
REPORT OF THE SCHOOL OCULIST.
The numbers referred for treatment have shewn ax- increase
during the last year, viz:—
205 Elementary School Children.
19 from the Infant Welfare Clinics.
18 Secondary School Children.
In all Spectacles were prescribed and obtained by 196 children.
10 children either left school or refused glasses.
31 required no treatment.
3children have been referred for orthoptic exercises or squint
operations.
The attendances are still not as satisfactory as desired
v. E. Brander.
REPORT OF THE SCHOOL DENTAL SURGEON.
During the year 1942 regular dental inspection and treatment
was carried on in the schools, Mr. N. T. Smith being responsible
for the work up to the month of September. The general condition
of the children's teeth, especially among the infants, is good in spite
of the fact that we are now in the fourth year of war.
