SECTION IV.—FACTORY AND WORKSHOP ACTS.
Information concerning the work carried out under the above Acts is given in the
following tables in the form required by the Home Secretary. The work is carried out by one
male inspector and one female inspector.
The arrangement is that the female inspector is responsible for inspecting workshops in
which women are employed and for all visits to outworkers and to domestic workshops.
The male inspector is responsible for workshops in which men are employed, including
bakehouses and restaurants.
Both inspectors visit workshops in which men and women are employed.
