Tuberculosis Care Committees have been established in the majority of, if not in all,
Metropolitan Boroughs, in accordance with the suggestions contained in circulars issued from
time to time by the London County Council.
In June, 1936, a circular dealing with the question of social service in connection
with Tuberculosis again urged the importance of this work, and explained that it was the
duty of a care committee to focus its activity upon the personal and family circumstances
of tuberculous persons.
