ANNUAL REPORT
of the
MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH
FOR THE YEAR 1911.
March 7th, 1912.
To the Chairman and Members
of the Urban District Council of Acton.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to submit to the Council a report on
the sanitary conditions of the district; together with the vital
and other statistics for the year 1911.
Since the issue of the last annual report, the preliminary
figures of the last census have been published ; the final figures
are not yet obtainable. The population of the district at the
Census was 57,523.
The population at the middle of the year would be estimated
at 58,048, assuming that the intercensal rate of increase has
continued.
The birth-rate is again lower, and the number of births
registered in the district is lower than that in any year since
1904.
