I regret that forty-six cases of Enteric Fever were reported during
the year, but one must not lose sight of the fact that Enteric Fever
was generally universal, and that instances are recorded of outbreaks
after a hot and dry summer followed by much rain, both of which
climatic conditions we experienced. In this report I have fully discussed
the disease, and the measures which should be employed to prevent
it.
I am pleased to again record a lowered Death Rate, which when
we consider the large Infant population, is satisfactory.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
G. A. GARRY SIMPSON.
