APPENDIX.
ST. MARYLEBONE CLEAN FOOD ASSOCIATION.
Articles of Association.
1. Name: The Association shall be known as the St. Marylebone Clean Food Association.
2. Objects: The objects for which the Association is established are as follow:—
(a) To promote clean methods of handling food amongst persons engaged in the food trades in
St. Marylebone.
(b) To encourage the observance of all statutory standards of hygiene regarding food.
3. Membership: Membership of the Association shall be accorded to:—
(a) Food traders or their representatives, carrying on business within the Borough of
St. Marylebone, who have undertaken to comply with these Articles of Association.
(b) Members of the St. Marylebone Borough Council elected to serve on the Executive Committee
to represent consumers.
4. Officers of the Association: The Honorary Officers of the Association, all of whom shall be elected
annually, shall be a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and a Secretary and Treasurer, all of whom shall
be ex-officio members of the Executive Committee. The Association may appoint such other
officers as may from time to time be deemed necessary.
5. Meetings: An Annual Meeting of the Association shall be held in April or May in each year. Other
meetings of the Association shall be held at such times as may be determined by the Executive
Committee, who, except in emergency, shall give not less than 14 days notice of any General
Meeting. Meetings of the Executive Committee shall be held at such times as may be determined
by the Executive Committee.
6. Annual Meeting: The business of the Annual Meeting shall include the election of the Honorary
Officers of the Association for the ensuing year; the appointment of members of the Executive
Committee; and the reception, approval, and adoption of the Annual Report of the Association
for the past year.
7. Quorum: The Quorum at a meeting of the Association shall be 15, and the quorum at a meeting
of the Executive Committee shall be 7.
8. Executive Committee: An Executive Committee of the Association shall be formed of 15 members
of the Association as follow:—
13 representatives composed, so far as possible, of one member from each food trade or group
of food traders, and 2 members of the St. Marylebone Borough Council nominated by the Borough
Council to represent consumers.
