No infantile death occurred from the following causes not shown in the table: Small-pox, chicken-pox, measles, scarlet fever,
diphtheria and membranous croup (Code Nos. 1—5), diarrhoea (No. 7), tuberculous meningitis, abdominal tuberculosis, other tuberculous
diseases (Nos. 9—11), atrophy, debility and marasmus (No. 14), injury at birth, erysipelas, syphilis, rickets, meningitis (not
tuberculous), convulsions (Nos. 16—21), laryngitis (No. 23), suffocation, overlying (No. 26).
Mortuary.—Nine bodies (4 male, 5 female) were deposited at the Emergency Mortuary, No. 24, Hill Road. No
post-mortem examinations were carried out.
