Clearance and Improvement Schemes.—As to progress in this connection it
may be noted that during the year advance continued in the direction of improving
housing conditions within the Borough. Particularly is this so in the Carlisle
Street area, the reconstruction of which was brought nearer to completion during
the year.

The following Table, supplied by the Housing Officer, gives particulars of the various areas dealt with by the London County Council, the Borough Council, and the St. Marylebone Housing Association:—
