Population.—The Census returns of the year 1931 for the County of London
were published too late for the tables referring- to St. Marylebone to be included in
the Annual Report for that year. Though belated, it has been thought well, following
the usual practice, to set out here for convenience of reference, Tables taken
from the report upon the Census containing an analysis of the information obtained
as a result of the enumeration.
The population estimated to the middle of 1932 by the Registrar-General is
shown below and is that used in calculating the various rates given in this report.
For information the estimated population of each of the Wards is also set out and
for comparison the figures for 1931 and the Census of 1931.
