Public Health Department,
Town Hall,
Marylebone Road, N.W.1.
30th June, 1923.
To the Mayor, Aldermen, and Councillors of the Metropolitan Borough
of St. Marylebone.
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour, as Medical Officer of Health, to submit my Annual
Report on the health of the Borough of St. Marylebone during the year 1922.
It is on similar lines to that for 1921 and in accordance with the
instructions of the Ministry of Health, I have made it little more than a
chronicle of the principal happenings and statistical information of the year.
There is no matter to which I desire to direct attention at this point, though
I should like to take the opportunity of expressing my thanks to the Chairman
(Mr. Alderman J. Fettes) and the members of the Public Health Committee
for the kindness and consideration they showed me, and the help they gave
me during the year.
To the staff of the department also thanks and credit are due for excellent
work done.
I am,
Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
CHARLES PORTER,
Medical Officer of Health.
