The number of such not1ces for 1910 was 136, and 1n 1909, 49.
The 77 not1ces respect1ng verm1nous rooms were served under powers granted by
the London County Counc1l (General Powers) Act, 1904, and referred to 325 rooms.
The number of not1ces for 1910 was 70, and for 1909, 24.
1n 1,593 cases the nu1sances were abated by the persons respons1ble for the1r
removal on the serv1ce of a prel1m1nary (1nt1mat1on) not1ce of the ex1stence of the
defect. The number of cases 1n wh1ch the necess1ty to resort to legal proceed1ngs to
enforce compl1ance w1th statutory not1ces was 10. The table on page 75 g1ves the
deta1ls of the cases so dealt w1th, the act or by.laws under wh1ch the proceed1ngs were
taken and the results.
The total 1nspect1ons made by each 1nspector, and the number of nu1sances of var1ous k1nds detected and remed1ed are set forth 1n the follow1ng table.
