In two instances, viz., one seizure involving a quantity of hake found to be
infected with worms and another, go tins of unsound condensed milk, the
Committee decided that it would be sufficient, the articles having been
condemned and destroyed, if a letter of caution were sent to the vendor. In the
remainder of the cases, reported instructions to proceed were given. Details with
regard to the offences alleged and the result of the prosecutions are given below.
