The week ending May 11th was one of ordinary temperatures, the
minimum being 39.5°; the maximum, 77.0°; and the mean, 56.0°. On three
days rain fell equal to 0.61 inch. Winds SS.W. and S.E. Sunshine 39%.
Mean barometer 29.7 inches.
The week ending May 18th was similar in weather to the preceding, but
cool. Minimum temperature, 37.0°; maximum, 80.0°; mean, 55.3°. On
four days rain fell to the extent of 0.34 inch. Winds N.E. Sunshine 38%.
Mean barometer, 29.8 inches.
The week ending May 25th was overcast and wet. Minimum temperature,
34.8°; maximum, 71.5°; mean, 54.3°. On six days rain fell equal
to 0.34 inch. Winds E. and S.E. Sunshine only 18.5%. Mean barometer,
29.7 inches.
The week ending June 1st was also overcast and showery. Minimum
temperature, 41.8°; maximum, 70.5°; mean, 55.6°. On four days rain fell to
the total amount of 0.66 inch. Sunshine only 11%. Mean barometer, 29.9
inches.
