W. E. Banks, of 17a, Upper Marylebone Street was
fined 10s. and 12s. 6d. costs for selling margarine as butter.
Charles Staples, of 55, Great Titchfield Street, was
fined £2 and 12s. 6d. costs for a similar offence.
William Stacey, of 3, Harcourt Street, was fined 2s. 6d.
and 12s. 6d. costs for selling skim milk diluted with 16 per
cent, of water.
The case against a vendor who was summoned for
selling milk diluted with 15.7 per cent, of water and deficient
in milk fat to the extent of 18 per cent, was dismissed,
owing to a technical error in the wording of the summons.
John Thomas, of 30, Earl Street, was fined £1 and
12s. 6d. costs for selling milk deficient in milk fat 16.7 per
cent., and diluted with 12 per cent, water.
The Park Tea Co., of 21, Yoik Place, was summoned
for selling milk deficient in milk fat to the extent of 6.67 per
cent, and diluted with 10.7 per cent, of water, and fined
10s. and 12s. 6d. costs.
