Health of the District during November.
The rise in October of cases of scarlet fever lias not
been maintained. A reference to the curve opposite
page 121 shows that, if the oscillations are smoothed
out, scarlet fever is just about what may be anticipated
from a ten years' average for the same period. Diphtheria
and typhoid cases have been less than usual. The death-rate
for the whole district is an average death-rate. The
mortality from chest complaints, despite of the foggy
November, is lower than usual.
