enteric or typhoid fever.
The number of specimens examined was 6; of these 3
showed the presence of a positive Widal (Typhoid) re-action; in
the remainder the Widal (Typhoid) re-action was absent.
Phthisis.
The number of sputums examined was 47; of these 17
showed the presence of tubercle bacilli; in the remainder the
bacilli were absent.
Total number of bacteriological examinations, 117 in 1906,
against 42 in 1905.
