mortality from certain classes of disease and proportion to 1,000 deaths
from all causes.

Health of the District.
The health of the District during the exceptionally mild
dry and sunny May has continued good save for a widespread
epidemic of measles; this has raised the mortality for
infectious diseases slightly above the average.
