The week ending March 5th was a cold week. Minimum temperature,
27.5°; maximum, 40.0° ; mean, 34.4°. On four days rain, snow, or sleet fell
to the amount of 0.53 inch. Sunshine scarcely 4 per cent. Wind easterly.
Barometer 29.9 inches.
The week ending March 12th had similar weather, but slightly warmer.
Minimum temperature, 30.0° ; maximum, 58.0°; mean, 52.0°. On four days
rain fell, the total fall measuring 0.28 inch. Winds E. and N.E. Sunshine
registered in Regent's Park was equal to 22.9 hours, or nearly 29 per cent.
Mean barometer 29.8 inches.
The week ending March 19th was fairly dry, only one shower of rain
falling (0.03 inch). Minimum temperature, 26.5°; maximnm, 51.0° ; mean,
43.1°. Winds N.E. and W.S.W. Sunshine only 10 per cent. Mean
barometer 29.7 inches.
The week ending March 26th was warmer than the three preceding
weeks. Minimum temperature, 32.5°; maximum, 53.0°; mean, 44.9°. On
three days slight rain fell (0.22 inch). Winds N.N.W. and N.E. Sunshine
8 per cent. Mean barometer 30.0 inches.
