The week ending March 7th was stormy and wet. Minimum temperature,
35.0°; maximum, 54.0°; mean, 42.8°. On fiye days rain fell, total
rainfall, l.22 inch. Strong westerly winds prevailed. Sunshine registered
in Regent's Park equal to 13%. Mean barometer, 29.6 inches.
The week ending March 14th was brighter and drier. Minimum temperature,
30.5°; maximum, 57.0° ; mean, 44.7°. On three days slight rain
fell, 0.12 inch. The winds were westerly. Sunshine, 29. Mean barometer,
29.9 inches.
The week ending March 21st was characterised by strong westerly and
south-westerly gales. Minimum temperature, 35.4°; maximum, 55.8°; mean,
47.9°. On two days rain fell, 0.14 inch. Sunshine equal to 24.2%. Mean
barometer, 29.9 inches.
The week ending March 28th was also stormy. Minimum temperature,
38.0°; maximum, 67.0°; mean, 53.9°. Winds SW. Sunshine, 23.8%.
Mean barometer, 29.5 inches.
