Births and Deaths.
During the five weeks ending January 31st there have been registered
292 births and 266 deaths. These births and deaths are divided among the
five sub-districts as set forth in Table III. Seventy-nine of the deaths were
extra-parochial, as follows :β€”

Kectory, birth-rate 22.0 ;] death-rate 19.4.
St. Mary, birth-rate 17.8 ; death-rate 19.0.
Christ Church, birth-rate 32.1 ; death-rate 25.0.
St. John, birth-rate 19.3; death-rate 26.9.
The whole district, birth-rate 22.8; death-rate 20.8.
The average death-rates for five years (1897 to 1902) for the corresponding
period were as follows :β€”All Souls, 16.4; Itectory, 26.2; St. Mary, 20.2;
Christ Church, 19.5; St. John, 24.6; the whole district, 20.8.
