The small amount of adulteration in milk during the
quarter is noteworthy, the more so since special efforts were
made by the staff to ascertain the quality of the milk sold;
each of the Inspectors, for example, took a number of
samples on Sunday in the street under conditions which
rendered the substitution of milk specially prepared for an
inspector to that actually under sale impossible.
