The week ending May 9th was cool and wet. Minimum temperature,
40.0° ; maximum, 64.0°; mean, 52.6°. On five days rain fell, giving the high
rainfall of 2.13 inches. The winds were SW. and SSE. Sunshine was
deficient, being just under 8°/° of the possible. Mean barometer 29.6 inches.
The week ending May ]6th was finer than the preceding. Minimum
temperature, 37.5° ; maximum, 61.50 ; mean, 51.68. On three days rain
fell, 0.33 inch. Sunshine, 20°/o. Winds variable. Mean barometer 29.8
inches.
The week ending May 23rd was bright and fairly warm. Minimum temperature,
38.5° ; maximum, 78.2° ; mean, 58.18. On three days thunder
showers yielded 0.51 inch, of rain. Sunshine in Eegent's Park was equal to
49.7°/o. Winds, SSW. and NNW. Mean barometer 29.9 inches.
The week ending May 30th was warm and summerlike. Minimum
temperature, 40.5° ; maximum, 78.0° ; mean, 62.9°. Winds NE. and SE.
On two days thunder storms yielded 0.24 inch of rain. Sunshine in Eegent's
Park 64.8 hours equal to 57.7°/0. Mean barometer 30.0 inches.
