were as follows:—
All Souls, birth-rate 17.3; death-rate 14.4.
Rectory, birth-rate 19.1; death-rate 14.7.
St. Mary, birth-rate 16.1; death-rate 13.5.
Christ Church, birth-rate 28.5; death-rate 15.6.
St. John, birth-rate 16.6; death-rate 20.7.
The whole district, birth-rate 20.6; death-rate 15.5.
The average death-rates for five years (1896 to 1901) for the corresponding
period were as follows:—All Souls, 13.8; Rectory, 21.0; St. Mary, 18.4;
Christ Church, 18.9; St. John, 20.6; the whole district, 17.3.
