REPORT OF THE PUBLIC ANALYST ON THE
ANALYTICAL WORK OF THE YEAR.
Analytical Laboratory,
Town Hall, Paddington, W.
January, 1918.
The total number of samples taken during the year was 508.
These comprised ; Milk 183, Cheese 35, Cream 10, Flour 7.
Only 3 samples of Milk, 4 of Lard and 4 of Margarine were
found to be defective. Only 2.1 per cent. of the samples taken were
adulterated.
I do not think that any other London Borough taking so many
samples can shew as pure a food supply from year to year.
I have the honour to remain,
Yours obediently,
ALF. W. STOKES,
Public Analyst.
