The question as to what steps might be taken to curtail the spread
of infection and limit the fatality attending cases of measles has engaged
my attention for some time past. Nearly all the deaths from measles
occur among children under five years of age. In addition to the
mortality, it must he remembered that the health of many children who
do not succumb is considerably injured.
