NOTIFICATION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE
During the year 21 notifications of infectious diseases affecting City residents were received as shown in the following table which also shows comparable figures for 1971:-

In addition to the above a further 36 notifications (26 during 1971) were received relating to
persons who normally reside outside the City. These notifications were brought to the attention
of the Medical Officers of Health of the areas where these persons normally resided.
