Newcastle Disease (England and Wales) Order 1971
This Order amends the Fowl Pest Order 1936 in that Newcastle disease is no longer included
in the definition of fowl pest. It prohibits the vaccination of poultry against Newcastle disease
with unlicensed vaccine.
I would again like to take this opportunity of thanking the staff of this department for their
continued enthusiastic service during the year often at times outside office hours."

NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE ACT, 1946
(as amended by the Health Services and Public Health Act, 1968)
The Corporation of London is responsible for services as set out in Sections 21 to 28
(excluding Section 27) of the National Health Service Act, 1946. The Greater London Council is
responsible for the administration of all ambulance services within the Greater London area under
Section 27 of the Act.
TEMPLES ORDER, 1971
Following the Temples Order which came into effect on 15th November 1971, personal health
services have been provided as required to residents of the Temples.
Prior to the Order becoming effective only services of an emergency nature were provided.
SECTION 21 - HEALTH CENTRES
There are no such Centres in the City of London.
SECTION 22 - CARE OF MOTHERS AND YOUNG CHILDREN
There were no (Nil) notified cases of congenital defects recorded during the year in respect
of births to City residents.
