The field of Health Education has been extended during the year and formal and informal
methods are being used.
Talks to small classes of primary school children at Sir John Cass's Foundation School have
been given and the children have shown much interest. These talks are given by the Assistant
Health and Welfare Officer as School Nurse.
Selected leaflets and posters on special aspects of health were circulated to Schools, Offices,
Libraries and other organisations throughout the year. Much interest and support has been given
to displays of posters and leaflets, particularly at the Citizens Advice Bureau Centre where
posters are displayed in the windows and leaflets are obtainable inside the Centre itself. Many
City workers visit the centre and frequent calls are made by the Organiser to replenish stocks
of leaflets covering a wide range of health aspects.
