CONGRESSES.
The Royal Sanitary Institute Congress, at Portsmouth, from 11th to 16th July; the
Royal Institute of Public Health Congress, at Blackpool, from 21st May to 4th June; the
National Association for the Prevention of Tuberculosis Congress, in London, from 30th June
to 2nd July; the National Veterinary Medical Association Congress, in Glasgow, from 5th
to 9th September; the Public Health Services Congress, in London, from 14th to
19th November; and the National Smoke, Abatement Society, in London, on the
25th February, were all attended by representatives of the City Corporation, and each provided
the usual facilities for the ihterchange of views and experience in the spheres of
public health activity covered by the respective organisations.

In accordance with the usual practice, one of the Sanitary Inspectors attended the
Congress of the Sanitary Inspectors Association, held at Edinburgh, from 5th to
10th September last. The Conference afforded a valuable opportunity for an enlightening
interchange of views in connection with the work of a sanitary inspector.
