Vaccination.—Of the 361 births notified to the Vaccination Officer during 1937, 120 had
been successfully vaccinated by the end of 1938, 20 had died before the age for vaccination
and 2 were reported as insusceptible. Vaccination was postponed by medical
certificate in 1 case, and 127 had removed into other districts. No case was pending.
There were 91 instances of conscientious objection. The Public Vaccinator performed 5
re-vaccinations during the year, and in addition to the 120 successful vaccinations
referred to above, 5 adult persons were vaccinated for the first time.
