During the year, 115 inspections were made in connection with the sale of milk and
the statutory requirements enforced. In addition, the usual observations were made from
time to time in connection with milk distribution from barrows and vehicles. It was not
found necessary to take action for milk bottling in the street or off dairy premises.

Thirteen samples of different brands of Condensed Milk were purchased for analysis,
and all found to conform to the standards for composition and equivalent contents and the
requirements as regards labelling.

Butter Factories.—One butter factory is registered in the City, and samples taken at
these premises were all certified to be genuine.
Wholesale Dealers in Margarine and Margarine Cheese.—No new application for registration
was received during the year.
