Note.—Some of these premises are registered for more than one of the above processes.
This Act, in spite of its limitations, has improved the standard of cleanliness in many
businesses.
Before premises are registered, a schedule of alterations and improvements is submitted
to the applicant. When the improvements have been carried out, a standard capable of
maintenance results.
The number of premises registered in the City since the inception of the Act is 105.
In five cases the premises were considered unsuitable for satisfactorily conducting the type
of business for which application for registration was made.
