LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL (GENERAL POWERS) BILL, 1930.
OFFENSIVE BUSINESSES.
As the law at present stands, it would appear that such sanction as may be given by
the responsible Authority for the establishment anew of offensive businesses, has to be given,
if given at all, without qualification or the imposition of conditions, except as regards limitation
of period, and the above-mentioned Bill, sought to enable responsible Authorities to
impose such conditions, restrictions, or limitation of period, as is considered necessary wher
sanctioning the establishment anew of offensive businesses. This is a desirable addition
to the powers possessed.
