None have the spores of bacillus enteritidis. One of four specially examined has streptococci. From this, I think the mussels of fair quality, considering that mussels, as a rule, are dirty feeders.
No. 111904. 2nd Jan.Do. (Implicated in 3 cases reported from Wandsworth.Hadleigh RayOf eight mussels examined four contained bacillus coli communis in numbers. All contain spores of bacillus enteritidis sporogenes. These mussels are dirty inside and outside.
